Hanex® care and maintenance

Hanex® worktops boast a range of attributes that make cleaning and maintenance easy. Notably, they are remarkably resistant to stains and impacts, ensuring long-lasting quality. However, the most significant benefit lies in their ease of repair. Minor marks or imperfections can be buffed out, restoring the surface’s original, flawless look.

Simply follow the Hanex® cleaning instructions below to keep your worktop hygienically clean and looking like new.

Hanex® cleaning instructions

General cleaning
Wipe the surface clean with a damp cloth or sponge soaked in hot water. For mild stains, use a general-purpose cleaner or mild detergent, such as Bar Keepers Friend.

Removing aggressive stains
Hanex® surfaces resist stains, although they aren’t entirely stain-proof. In cases where more persistent cleaning is needed, remove as much residue as possible, then use a mild cleaning solution. Apply it and gently rub the stain in a circular motion with a cloth. Finally, rinse the area thoroughly with water and dry it with a cloth.

Avoid damage from strong chemicals

Avoid splashing chemicals such as oven cleaners, acetone, paint removers, etc. on your worktop. If harsh chemicals come into contact with your worktop, rinse them away immediately with water, as prolonged exposure can seriously damage the surface.

How to care for your Hanex® worktop

Protect the surface from hot temperatures
Hanex® is not heat-proof, so hot saucepans, baking trays, heated electrical appliances, etc., should not be placed directly on its surface. Instead, always use a hot pad or trivet. Also, take care with Hanex® sinks. When pouring hot liquids into the sink, run cold water at the same time.

Avoid scratches
To maintain the condition of your worktop, avoid cutting directly on the surface – always use a chopping board. If you accidentally scratch your worktop, gently buff shallow cuts away using an abrasive sponge or a suitable scouring agent. For deeper cuts, professional assistance may be necessary to ensure proper repair.
