Krion™ care and maintenance

Krion™ worktops have numerous qualities that simplify care and upkeep. For example, they have remarkable resistance to stains and impacts to ensure durability. However, their greatest advantage lies in their repairability. So, a minor mark or blemish on your worktop can easily be buffed away, restoring its pristine appearance effortlessly.

Simply follow the Krion™ cleaning instructions below to keep your worktop hygienically clean and looking like new.

Krion™ cleaning instructions

General cleaning
To clean Krion™ worktops, remove spills immediately, then wipe the surface with water and a sponge or microfibre cloth. Dry the surface after cleaning.

Removing aggressive stains
Krion™ surfaces are stain-resistant but not stain-proof. So, some substances may require more aggressive cleaning. To clean common stains, remove as much residue as possible, then apply a mild cleaning solution and rub the stain in a circular motion with a cloth. Finally, rinse the area with water and dry it with a cloth.

Do not use cleaners with a strong acidic base
Avoid using chemicals containing acids, as they can cause discolouration. If acids come into contact with your worktop, rinse away immediately with water.

How to care for your Krion™ worktop

Krion™ is not heat-proof, so hot saucepans, baking trays, deep fat fryers etc., should not be placed directly on its surface. Instead, always use a hot pad or trivet. Also, take care with Krion™ sinks. When pouring hot liquids into the sink, run cold water at the same time.

Avoid scratches
To maintain the condition of your worktop, it’s essential to exercise caution with pointed or sharp objects to prevent scratches. We recommend the use of a chopping board when using sharp knives. In the event of an accidental scratch, shallow cuts can be gently buffed away using an abrasive sponge or a suitable scouring agent. For deeper cuts, professional assistance may be necessary to ensure proper repair.
