Worktop edge profiles

Choosing the perfect edge for your worktop

Worktop edge profiles refer to the shape of your worktop’s edge, and they play a crucial role in defining the overall look of your kitchen. Whether you prefer a sleek, modern finish, or a more traditional look, our selection ensures you find the perfect match to enhance your kitchen’s aesthetic. Whichever design you choose, each edge profile is crafted with precision, providing both beauty and functionality to your space.

The shape you choose for your worktop’s edge profile depends on the worktop material and whether you’re happy to have the standard edge profile at no extra cost or opt for a special edge profile. We have the following choices available:

Standard edge profiles

Available at no extra cost.

Double pencil worktop edge profile

Recommended for acrylic worktops.

A double pencil edge profile has a smooth curve running from the worktop’s surface to the edge. It removes sharp corners, protects the worktop from bumps and knocks, and softens the overall look of your worktop. It’s a versatile design that suits both modern and traditional styles.

Double bevel worktop edge profile

Recommended for all sintered stone, quartz, and natural stone worktops.

A double bevel edge profile consists of two bevelled edges set at 45 degrees – one on the top and one on the bottom of the edge. It removes sharp corners and protects the worktop from everyday knocks. This design will suit any kitchen style.

Special Edge Profiles

Worktops with these profiles take a little longer to fabricate and carry an extra cost.

Shark nose worktop edge profile

A shark nose edge profile has a smooth, pointed edge that sticks out slightly from the worktop’s surface. It makes the worktop appear thinner than it really is and gives the impression that the worktop is floating. It’s perfect for minimalist and handleless kitchens.

Bullnose worktop edge profile

A bullnose edge profile has a rounded edge running from the worktop’s surface. A half bullnose is only curved on the top edge, while a full bullnose curves on the bottom edge too. It removes sharp corners, protects the worktop from bumps and knocks, and softens the worktop’s overall appearance, creating a sleek, modern look.

Ogee worktop edge profile

An ogee edge profile has a concave curve at the top and a convex curve at the bottom that creates a decorative finish. It’s a design that best suits classic and traditional style kitchens, but it can be used in more modern settings too.
